How alexwil.com uses privacy-friendly analytics, local browser storage, and optional third-party services.
Privacy Policy · Updated August 9, 2026
Privacy, in plain language
alexwil.com collects only the limited information needed to understand aggregate site traffic and respond when you choose to get in touch. I do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.
01 Overview
This policy applies to alexwil.com. The site is hosted by Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics. Scheduling runs through Cal.com when you book a chat, and an optional music player connects to Jamendo only when you use it.
02 Vercel Web Analytics
I use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as page views, referral sources, approximate location, and general browser or device information. Vercel Web Analytics is designed without cookies or cross-site tracking and does not create advertising profiles.
Vercel also processes ordinary request information needed to securely deliver this website. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.
03 Scheduling
If you book a chat through the Let’s chat page, you are using Cal.com. Cal.com collects the details you provide for the booking (typically your name, email, and any notes) and may set cookies or similar technologies needed to run its scheduling product. That information is handled under Cal.com’s privacy policy.
You can also email me directly at contact@alexwil.com without using Cal.com.
04 Third-party media and links
The lofi.fm player requests track information and audio from Jamendo only after you interact with the player. Jamendo may receive standard connection information such as your IP address and browser details. External links, including GitHub, PickHue, Are.na, and the Chrome Web Store, are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies once you leave alexwil.com.
The pixel art generator looks up Minecraft usernames only when you type one in and submit it. That username is sent to playerdb.co to find the matching account, and the skin texture is then loaded from Mojang’s textures.minecraft.net. Both services may receive standard connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Skins you supply yourself, whether by choosing a file, dragging one in, or pasting one, are read entirely inside your browser and are never uploaded anywhere.
05 Information stored in your browser
AlexOS uses your browser’s local storage to remember interface preferences such as theme, music volume, and temporary case-study access. This information stays in your browser and is not sent to me.
06 Your choices
You can block analytics or third-party requests with your browser or content blocker, avoid using the music player or Cal.com booking, and clear locally stored preferences at any time through your browser settings. The core portfolio remains available without creating an account.
07 Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@alexwil.com. I may update this policy when the site or its services change; the date above will reflect the latest revision.
